The new model is intended to enhance the scope, quality and efficiency of the articulation process
between colleges and universities. Under the new process, the CAN system will continue to serve
as the course identification system for lower-division transferable major preparation courses
commonly taught on California Community Colleges and CSU campuses. The goal is to have full
intersegmental participation.
